Properties and uses

Active Zinc Oxide is white or slightly yellow spherical powder, density 5.47g/cm3, melting point 1800 degrees C, insoluble in water, soluble in acid, alkali, chloride and ammonia. Can generate basic zinc carbonate to absorb carbon dioxide emissions in the humid air. According to the Ministry of chemical industry HG2572-94 standard, ordinary Zinc Oxide particle size 0.5 m, ball, specific surface area of 35 ~ 45 M2 /g. The surface adsorption of gas molecules can be adsorbed on the surface of Zinc Oxide, and the specific surface area can be calculated. Active Zinc Oxide and Zinc Oxide are the same in chemical composition, their differences are mainly in the physical properties, and therefore the use is not the same. The purity of active Zinc Oxide is lower than that of Zinc Oxide produced by direct or indirect method, but its unique physical and chemical properties can show its superiority. Zinc Oxide is commonly used in the rubber industry, it is mainly used as natural rubber, synthetic rubber and latex activator. Fine particles are spherical activity of Zinc Oxide, has a large surface area, adsorption and dispersion is good, so it can promote the rubber vulcanization, activation and anti ageing effect, can strengthen the rubber vulcanization process, improve the tear resistance and wear resistance. The activity of Zinc Oxide is also used to white latex colorants and fillers, chloroprene rubber vulcanizing agent, light stabilizer, the plastics industry in the production of synthetic ammonia desulfurization catalyst, also can be used to paint, enamel, paint and other chemical industry. The use of active Zinc Oxide in the rubber industry can reduce the amount of 1/3 ~ 1/4 by using ordinary Zinc Oxide.
