1, Specification of the vermiculite
Vermiculite, chemical formula Mg × (H2O) [Mg3 × (AlSiO3O10) (H2O)], is a magnesium water inclouded aluminum silicate secondary metamorphic minerals of layered
structure. It likes mica in form, and usually come from weathered or hydrothermal alterated black (gold ) Mica. It will present a deflection shape after heat expansion and
water loss, liking a leech pattern in form ,so it gets the name vermiculite.
1), According to the color,vermiculite can be indevided into silver vermicultie and golden vermiculite
2), According to Type: Indeveded to raw vermiculite / crude vermiculite, vermiculite concentrate and expanded vermiculite / exfoliated vermiculite.
3), Size:
For Exfoliated / Expanded Vermiculite has 20-40mesh 40-60mesh 100mesh 200mesh 325mesh, 0.3-1mm, 1-2mm, 2-4mm, 3-6mm and 4-8mm.
For Raw / Crude vermiculite, the sizes are 0.3-1mm, 0.7-2mm, 1-2mm, 1.4-2.5mm, 3-5mm, 3-7mm.
