    Product Description

    Expanded Perlite is a white, ultra-low density mineral available in different grades to suit most applications.  

    It exhibits excellent insulation properties over a very wide temperature range, making it useful both in cryogenics and refractory applications. 

    It is also commonly used in construction and horticultural products.

     

    Expanded Perlite is a super light weight potting media that is clean and easy to use as well as environmentally friendly.It helps plants thrive and improves soil structure,

    keeping it workable for years. This inorganic mineral will produce healthier plants that require less labor and watering.

    Excellent for starting cuttings and storing bulbs Improves drainage and aeration in potting mixes.

    Functions

    Expanded Perlite for horticultural use:.

     

    1) Used in seed Raising:  

    Perlite is mixed in growing substrates but is also quite suitable as a substrate 
     for hydroculture and culture systems.
     
    2) Used In the garden:     
     So for plants, some perlite added to the soil can have a few benefits.
     Firstly it will retain moisture through summer which is important in warm climate. 
     Secondly it will open up the soil and improve drainage as well.
     
    3) Used in Cuttings:  
    As perlite improves drainage if reduces some of the problems with cuttings, including damping off.
     It encourages root growth because of the open structure and is sterile.

    4) Used in Hydroponics system: 
    Perlite also has insulation properties to prevent the cold of winter being so sever on plant roots. And of course it is widely used in hydroponics.
