Perlite
Perlite Introduction
It is a white or light-colored superior thermal made through smashing acid volcano glass lava, screening to a certain granularity, preheating again, and sintering under high temperature of 1400C. And it can be compounded with different adhesive into hydrophobic perlite insulation board, perlite sound absorption board, partition board, fire proof board, etc.
1-3mm , 2-4mm expanded perlite , our customers choose these size perlite as insulation material of building, the perlite is a good material to build external thermal wall.
For horticultural using , people usually choose bigger size 3-6mm, 4-8mm expanded perlite .
Light volume weight, high Hydrophobicity coefficient (above 98%), high strength, low heat conductivity, easy to
nstall;
It has a specific hydrophobicity performance, which overcomes the other materials’ reduction of thermal insulation
performance after getting damp or drenched, which makes it breakthrough products of overall moisture proof and thermal insulation.

Perlite Application
1)Horticultural Applications
In horticultural applications, perlite is used throughout the world as a componet of soilless growing mixed where it
provides aeration and optimum moisture retention for superior plant growth. Other horticultural applications for
perlite are as a carrier for fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides and for pelletizing seed.
2)Construction Applications
Perlite is widely used as a loose fill insulation in masonry construction. Other construction applications include
chimney linings, under-floor insulation, paint texturing, gypsum boards, ceiling tiles, and roof insulation boards etc.
