JN-30 Colloidal silica Certificate of Analysis

    Colloidal silica sol is referred to , the basic component of which is amorphous silica , and a particle size of 10 to 20 nm uniformly dispersed in water . Formula become mSiO2 · nH2O are multi-molecular polymer colloidal solution of silicic acid , and its appearance is milky or white translucent colloidal solution , is a good inorganic binder , with non-toxic , tasteless , high temperature insulation , good insulation properties , large surface area , strong adsorption , and low coefficient of thermal expansion .

Sol performance

1. Silica has a large adsorption : numerous network pore structure of the silica produced numerous micelles under certain conditions with certain inorganic and organic adsorption .

2. Silica having a large specific surface area: the specific surface area is generally from 250 to 300 square feet / g.

3. Silica has good adhesion : its uniform size micelles and about 10 ~ 20nm, which produce a self adhesive dry strength, but less strength. The silica sol was added as a fibrous or granular material , and then dried and cured to a rigid gel structure will have a greater adhesion ( generally about 46.7Kg/cm2 ) .

4. Sol has good temperature resistance : generally resistant to about 1600 ℃.

5. Silica has good hydrophilicity and oleophobicity : may be diluted with distilled water to any concentration , but with increasing dilution of the enhanced stability . But adding organic matter or more metal ions can be generated hydrophobic .

6. Silica having a "high dispersion ", " good wear resistance " and good " translucent ", etc. Therefore, as a good "dispersant ", " preservative" , " flocculant ", " coolant " , and special " optical materials ," and so on.

The use of silica sol

1. Used in precision casting industry : instead of using ethyl silicate , non-toxic ; not only reduce costs for the production of parts , size, accuracy, casting finish, make a large shell strength , shape better than using water glass quality ; used in high temperature coating of the mold , the coating can have a good heat resistance , high temperature molten metal to reduce the loss of the mold , and help release .

2. Used in the paint industry , enabling the paint firm, has a water-resistant, fire-resistant , stain resistance , high temperature , high film strength , beautiful color, do not fade and so on. Can also be applied to acid, alkali, fire retardant paint and coatings infrared radiation .

3. Refractory binder applied : a high bond strength, high temperature (1500 ~ 1600 ℃) and so on.

4 . Used in the textile industry : textile sizing additives can be used to reduce the breakage rate ; use in fabric dyeing , as an adhesive , can form an excellent protective solution , increase the adhesion dyeing and so on.

5. Used in the paper industry : as a photosensitive paper treatment agent, anti-adhesive cellophane , other office paper after treatment , can improve the print quality, make the color more vivid .

6. The catalyst is applied to : the production of the catalyst , under certain conditions , to accelerate the rate of catalysis as a carrier , to improve production efficiency.

7. Application of petroleum areas: production of aromatic hydrocarbons in the silicone monomer as a catalyst to enhance the aromatics recovery has opened up a new avenue in the oil industry , made with silica binder and catalyst.

Storage, transport and clear

1, the product can only be sealed in a clean , dry plastic bucket and stored in ventilated, dry place , storage temperature 5-40 ℃.
