Application:
1. Hydrofluoric acid can dissolve the oxides; it plays an important role in the purification of aluminum and uranium.
2. Hydrofluoric acid is also used to etch glass, carving patterns, tick labels and text;
3. Hydrofluoric acid is used in semiconductor industry to remove oxide from the surface of the silicon;
4. in the oil refinery, it can be used as a catalyst for the alkylation of isobutane and butane;
5. Hydrofluoric acid is also used in a variety of synthesis of fluorinated organic compounds, such as Teflon (PTFE) and refrigerant freon.
