ATR - Avions de Transport Regional - is a joint venture resulting from the association of two leading European aircraft manufacturers; EADS (France) and Alenia (Italy). The new ATR generation - the ATR 42-500 and ATR-72-500 - is the most successful family of turboprop aircraft in production today. ATR's headquarters is in Toulouse, with two centers: Washington, D.C. and Singapore.
The ATR family of regional turboprops has evolved over a 20-year period to provide the most cost-effective range of short haul, 40 to 70 seat aircraft. Having sold over 750 ATRs, the latest production builds on the best attributes of the earlier generation, while providing even higher standards of passenger comfort and aircraft performance. In addition to new aircraft production, ATR places around 50 used aircraft annually with regional airlines around the world. ATR has also developed a successful cargo market for older used ATR aircraft. With the standard cargo door, the ATR is ideally suited for bulk cargo operations, and with the Large Cargo Door conversion, the aircraft can accommodate pallets and containers. ATR has a solid foundation for maintaining its pre-eminence and for facing the future with confidence.

In addition to the aeronautical products designed for operator's specific needs, patent certificate are pending for innovated products that CET has developed.
To promote R & D efforts, the Federal and Provincial governments offer tax credit programs to companies, which invest in the research and experimental development of products and processes. The aeronautics sector is often the recipient of those tax credits. For example LSTC and STC certifications often go hand in hand with the admissibility requirements of potential project. CET brings its assistance and expertise to companies by evaluating their project eligibility and by writing the technical part of their tax credits application. Thus, with an adequate technical and scientific documentation prepared by CET these companies can recover significant amounts of money.
