Zhangjiagang TOWARDS Bioenergy Solution Co., Ltd (ZTBS). was established in 2011. The company is located beside the 204 National Highway in Zhangjiagang City, close to Nantong , Shanghai and Suzhou, which is convenient to reach. ZTBS has 7,000 square meters of workshop area, four modern machining production line, and one well-equipped R&D center.
Continuous feeding biomass carbonization system
Carbonization is a thermochemical treatment of biomass at 500 to 800 °C, carried out under atmospheric conditions and in the absence of oxygen. During the process, the biomass partly decomposes, giving off various types of volatiles. The final product is the remaining solid, which is often referred to as biochar when produced from woody biomass. The overall energy efficiency is about 70-85%.
Our carbonization system is the most advanced equipment on Chinese market. We use integrated carbonization and gasification technology, which is an original innovation from our research team. Compared with the existing systems, our design is more simplified and reliable input-to-output ratio. The by-product, combustible gas, produced by the system has a calorific value up to 3000 calories. The clean, tar-free gas is easy to be transported to replace other flammable gas for industrial gas usage directly.
We maintain high level of environmental standards. By catalytic cracking technology and tar-removal technology, we solved the tar emission problem during and after the carbonization process. There is no tar and waste water emission in the entire process. Besides, the process has no black smoke emissions, flue gas emission standard is higher than the national standard.
In terms of intellectual property, our research and development team invented the core technology of the system. Our company owns 100% of the patented technology.
Process and Technology Introduction
The entire system consists of seven major components: the biomass crusher, the biomass drying system, the biomass carbonization reactor, the cooling system and the pelletizing system. During operation, no external heat source is required. The bio-gas generated from the carbonization reaction will be recycled to provide heat for the entire system. The energy efficiency of the process can reach 80%.

The equipments produced by ZTBS are able to convert coconut shell,wood chips,sawdust, straw, agricultural and forestry processing residues and other bio-wastes which contains hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin.
