Ambassador Tea was founded in 1999 by Kirby de Lanerolle the youngest son of Mohan (Loni) de Lanerolle Snr. who had just retired after 22 years of service as a director at Akbar Brothers (Pvt) Ltd to step into his well deserved role as Chairman of the company.
